| The third offline practical training course for Medical Physicists (Nuclear Medicine) was successfully held

       From December 1 to 3, 2023, sponsored by the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese National Health Association and the Training Department of the Chinese National Health Association, Repair and Jiaxing First Hospital undertook, and the Chinese Medical Association Nuclear Medicine Branch as a technical support unit of the third period of medical physicists (nuclear medicine) offline practical training course was successfully held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. More than 20 students from all over the country participated in this training activity.
       Zhao Yanhong, President of Nuclear Medicine Branch of China National Health Association; Wang Jing, Chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Association and Director of the Nuclear Medicine Department of Xijing Hospital Affiliated to Air Force Military Medical University; Yao Ming, Party Secretary and President of Jiaxing First Hospital; Dang International, Vice President of Nuclear Medicine Branch of China National Health Association and Vice President of Pingmei General Hospital; Zhang Jianhang, Deputy Secretary-General of Nuclear Medicine Branch of China National Health Association; Zhang Weiqiang, director of Nuclear Medicine Department of Jiaxing First Hospital, attended the event and delivered a speech. Cheng Aiping, Director of Nuclear Medicine Department, Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital; Yang Weidong, Deputy Director, Department of Nuclear Medicine, Xijing Hospital Affiliated to Air Force Military Medical University; Wang Guocheng, an expert of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese National Health Association, served as the keynote speaker of this training event. Ding Baoqiang, chief engineer of Repair and expert of Nuclear Medicine Branch of Chinese National Health Association; Luo Lixiao, director of Medical Physicist (Nuclear Medicine) Training Base; Repair Technical Director Sun Pengliang served as the main teacher of this training activity. The event was presided over by Zhou Qinghe, member of the Party Committee and vice president of Jiaxing First Hospital.
       In the opening ceremony, Director Yang Weidong explained the Evaluation of the Safety and Effectiveness of nuclide Therapy, focusing on the history, development, characteristics, current situation and prospect of nuclide therapy. 177Lu-PSMA prostate cancer treatment side effects, absorbed dose, organ distribution and commercial analysis; FAP targeted nuclide therapy; Safety assessment of nuclide therapy; The evaluation of the effectiveness of nuclide therapy was introduced to the participants.
       Chief Engineer Ding Baoqiang explained the detection standards and key points of SPECT and PET for the students. Then in the clinical practice base of Medical Physicists (Nuclear Medicine) (Jiaxing First Hospital), Chief Engineer Ding Baoqiang and head of the base Luo Lixiao respectively explained the detection methods and operating procedures of ECT uniformity, ECT maximum count rate, ECT resolution and linearity, ECT sensitivity to the students. In the PET computer room, the students were led to carry out PET resolution detection, PET sensitivity detection, CT quality control, PET QC practical operation demonstration, etc.
       Luo Lixiao, head of the base, led the students to visit the Medical physicist (Nuclear medicine) training base, introduced and explained the internal structure and core components of nuclear medicine equipment.
      Director Cheng Aiping explained to the students how to become a qualified medical physicist and how to become a qualified nuclear medical physicist considered by nuclear medicine doctors. Combined with specific cases, the importance of the physicist is described from several aspects. It defines the job responsibilities and work content of the physicist, and the skills and abilities required.
       Sun Pengliang, technical director of Repair, prepared a wonderful artifact reading meeting for the students. In the reading meeting, the students fully understood the importance of nuclear medicine quality control for nuclear medicine imaging, and also deeply felt the important role of nuclear medicine physicists in the department.
       Professor Wang Guocheng explained the orientation and discipline planning of the nuclear medicine department, the construction process of the nuclear medicine department, the basic knowledge of radiation, commonly used radiation protection materials and protective equipment, the current nuclear medicine related laws and regulations, the basic construction requirements of the nuclear medicine department, and the analysis of the important and difficult points in the construction and implementation process to the students. Combined with the specific cases of many hospitals, the students fully understand the significance of radiation protection for nuclear medicine departments.
       In the offline practical operation class, Chief engineer Ding Baoqiang led the students to personally experience the point source in PET resolution detection and the line source preparation process in PET sensitivity detection. During the preparation process, Teacher Ding gave patient guidance to the students' operation.
       After the training, Zhao Yanhong, president of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese National Health Association, made a summary of the training and thanked the participating experts for their wonderful explanation. At the same time, I hope that all the participants can gain something from this training and jointly add bricks to the development of nuclear medicine in China.
